Ask Yourself These Questions on Unloving: What is the Unloving Spirit The unloving spirit is an antichrist spirit to get you to turn against yourself. It prevents one from giving love to others or receiving love. Many times very critical of self. You expect more from self than from others. Luke 10:27 “27He answered: ” ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’[a]; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ These spirits are assigned to undermine our self-esteem and our ability to trust in a loving God. These spirits make you feel unacceptable, unworthy, insecure about self. It causes you to turn against yourself either going into extreme vanity to look the best or don’t care what you look like.
America, when asked these questions “Do you love yourself?”, “Do you like yourself”? – 70% replied “NO”! Matt. 19:19 is really clear what we are to do..(Commandment, not a suggestion). We are to love ourselves, and then love others. Do you accept everything about you as God created you (your looks, your body, etc.) or do you wish you could change something about yourself? Did you know you are made in the image of God and if you cannot accept your body, then you are slapping the Lord in the face saying “you made a mistake.”
Are you mad at yourself or have self-unforgiveness for something you’ve done in the past you cannot let go of and it has brought shame in your life? Meaning you hold a record of wrong against yourself even though the Word says you are forgiven but you cannot forgive or let it go and you replay it over and over. Are you an excessive talker? You realize after you have had a conversation with someone that you dominated the conversation out of fear of man and fear of being rejected? Is it hard for you to be touched, hugged, kissed, feel loved, feel accepted or receive any affection which would make you feel loved? Are you a driven, Type A personality, known as a work-a-holic, perfectionist in everything you do to get self-worth from others or in self-gratification? But when you do get praised for your job, you cannot receive it and you hear a nagging voice saying you could have done it better! When something goes wrong, or when you drop something or it is not perfect, do you curse yourself with words “I’m stupid”, “what’s wrong with me”, I’m so clumsy”? “I Could have done it better”. Do you punish yourself when things go wrong? When you are tired, exhausted and worn out after a long day, does your house have to be perfect before you can go to bed? Can you look in the mirror and like what you see? Do you compare yourself to others and wish you had straight hair, or curly hair, different nose, not so tall or short, etc. Is it hard to say no to people when they demand from out because of fear of rejection or disappointing someone? No matter how tired you are you go the extra mile to take care of everyone else except you? If you can say yes to one or more above, this is a sign of The Unloving Spirit what we call self-hatred, self-bitterness, self-rejection and self-accusation.
