We minister and appropriate God’s Word with compassion and love for the hurting, sick and setting captives free.
This week’s subject: Spirit of Rejection.

Preview of Spirit of Rejection Teaching:
The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me, Because the LORD has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound; (Isaiah 61:1 NKJV)

The most common cause of a “wounded spirit” or a broken heart (as it is commonly called) is rejection. Rejection deeply wounds a person.  The word rejection can be defined as the experience of being cast off, pushed away, refused or unwanted by another person. In Psalm 55 we can observe that King David experienced some hurt and rejection from someone close to him.
Often we experience hurt from those closest to us such as family or friends. Satan takes advantage of those painful experiences by magnifying them to your heart and mind, pressuring you to believe that those situations are a reflection of your identity and your worth.

Jesus called Satan a “liar” and the “father of lies” in John 8:44. One strategy that this lying spirit uses against people is to whisper the lie of rejection to the mind and heart. The devil knows the pain and the bondage that a spirit of rejection can bring into a person’s life if his lie is accepted as truth. The lie of rejection says: “You are a ‘reject’ and the evidence to prove it can be found in your memories of painful treatment by others.” But the sinful actions of others toward you does not prove you are a “reject,” it just proves that people are sinners.

God’s Word tells you the truth: you are not rejected and you are not a “reject” even if a multitude of circumstances in your life seem to shout that it is true! The real truth about each of us is found in God’s Word:
He made us accepted in the Beloved…(Ephesians 1:6) God lovingly created you and designed you for a specific purpose in life. You are perfectly accepted and desired by God even if the human beings you have encountered have not treated you that way.
My question to you is who is defining you?  God’s Word as truth or people such as your parents, friends, husbands, children, etc. God’s Word is eternal and God is ultimately your creator, husband and father.  People’s words are not eternal and are not of truth.  It is the enemy who uses the people around you to make you feel rejected when the reality you are not.  When people reject you, they are rejecting the spirit of the Lord in you. 1 Samuel 7:8 “And the LORD said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them.
In the words they have not rejected you, we sense God comforting Samuel. It is as if God is saying “Samuel, don’t take it personally. Israel wanted a king.  The reason Israel wanted a king was wrong. Like all the nations.  We often get into trouble by wanting to be like the world, when we should instead be transformed into the image of Jesus Christ (Romans 12:1-2).
Jesus was rejected and sent on the cross.  What did he say?  He said, “forgive them for they do not know what they do.” It is not them, those who reject you, but a spirit working in them.

Leaving for Philippines in October 2012 – Stop Human Trafficking! In October I’m going to the Philippines working with evangelist (salvation crusade) as well as ministering to those Human Trafficking – helping those who need healing from the most horrific abuse.  For me to be able to go, I need to raise $5,000.00. Some statistics:

  • 2007 Statistics: 27 million – Number of people in modern-day slavery across the world.
  • The average age of entry for children victimized by the sex trade industry is 12 years.
  • 600,000 – 800,000 people are bought and sold across international borders each year; 50% are children, most are female.
  • An estimated 14,500 to 17,500 foreign nationals are trafficked into the United States each year. The number of U.S. citizens trafficked within the country is even higher, with an estimated 200,000 American children at risk for trafficking into the sex industry.

I will be filming while in Philippines to bring back awareness to the local churches and communities.  If you would like to help me with my travel expenses, you can do so below:
